Shapes, numbers, and patterns are everywhere around us! Let’s explore how they work together.

  • No corners (smooth and round)
  • Examples: Sun ☀️, Ball ⚽, Plate 🍽️, Wheel 🛞
  • Count: How many circles can you find in your room?
  • 4 equal sides
  • 4 corners (all the same)
  • Examples: Window, Book, Dice 🎲, Sandwich 🥪
  • Pattern: Square, Square, Square → □ □ □
  • 3 sides
  • 3 corners
  • Examples: Roof of house 🏠, Slice of pizza 🍕, Mountain ⛰️
  • Pattern: Big triangle, Small triangle → △ ▲
  • 4 sides (2 long, 2 short)
  • 4 corners
  • Examples: Door 🚪, Table, Phone 📱, Book 📚
  • Pattern: Wide rectangle, Tall rectangle → ▭ ▬
  1. Circle, Square, Circle, Square → ⭕ ⬜ ⭕ ⬜ ⭕ ?

Look at these patterns and guess what comes next:

  • Red circle, Blue square, Red circle, ___? (Blue square)
  • Big triangle, Small triangle, Small triangle, ___? (Big triangle)
  • Triangle: 1, 2, 3 sides 🔺
  • Square: 1, 2, 3, 4 sides ⬜
  • Pentagon: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 sides (like a house shape)
  • Circle: 0 corners ⭕
  • Triangle: 1, 2, 3 corners 🔺
  • Square: 1, 2, 3, 4 corners ⬜
  • Rectangle: 1, 2, 3, 4 corners ▭
  • Count by 1s: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
  • Count by 2s: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10
  • Count by 5s: 5, 10, 15, 20

  • Spider webs: Circular patterns 🕷️
  • Flower petals: Many flowers have 5 petals 🌸
  • Ladybug spots: Count the dots! 🐞
  • Tree rings: Count to know the tree’s age 🌳

Look for these shapes:

  • Kitchen: Plates (circles), Windows (squares/rectangles)
  • Outside: Wheels (circles), Roofs (triangles)
  • Classroom: Books (rectangles), Clock (circle)

Using crayons, draw patterns like:

  • Red circle, Blue triangle, Red circle, Blue triangle
  • Big square, Small square, Small square, Big square
  1. Count how many circles you see
  2. Count how many squares you see
  3. Which shape did you find the most?
  • Circle, Square, Triangle, Circle, Square, ___? (Triangle)
  • 2, 4, 6, ___? (8)
  • Red, Blue, Red, Blue, ___? (Red)
  • If you put two right triangles together, you can make a square! (Try it with paper triangles.)
  • How many small circles fit in a big circle? It depends on their size!
  • How many corners do 2 squares have? ⬜⬜ = 8 corners

Shapes and numbers create beautiful patterns everywhere - you just need to look! 👀✨
